Be True to Yourselves in Your Relationship
God has blessed me with a wonderful husband. This past weekend, we had an impromptu getaway weekend to celebrate our 23rd Anniversary. It was a nice, relaxing trip. We only went about an hour from our home, we stayed at a nice resort, ate at a nice restaurant, shopped, and watched football. HA! Yes, I said, "...watched football." See, for us, that's what we enjoy. We enjoy watching football and watching it together. Now, I didn't enjoy the outcome when my Falcons LOST, but we were doing exactly what is "us." When you spend time with your loved ones, don't worry about what you think is expected by others. Don't worry about what other couples do on date nights. Just do what is right for your relationship. That's how we've made it 23 years (and still going strong)...by just being us and not trying to live our lives LIKE anyone else.
