My Life...It's All Good

I've been blessed with some great friends in my life. I had a best friend in school for 6 years. We were inseparable. We did everything together. I still know to this day, 30 years later, that I can call on her for anything (and she can call me) even though we rarely keep in touch now.  Current day, I have a best friend that I met at our former church about 15 years ago. I think the world of her and even though they have moved 2 hours away now, we still try to speak every week and get together when we can. I know without a doubt that we will always be friends. That sounds corny, I know, but I felt it in my heart that she & I would be friends the moment we met. A few years later, we ended up best friends and haven't looked back.  I have other wonderful friends. I've been blessed to have a circle of friends that are there for me better than I deserve. Though, they don't all reach the standard of "best" friend, I wouldn't trade them for anything.  ...

My heart is so heavy. There are so many in our families that are hurting right now. My father-in-law is nearing the end of his life after a long illness. My cousin is in ICU and not expected to live with an unexpected brain hemorrhage & massive stroke. My aunt is starting to show signs of dementia/Alzheimer's. It's just been a tough, tough weekend.  Though all of this BAD, I still know that God is in control of every situation. He knows every need of every family touched by these illnesses. He is able to give peace and comfort to the families like no other. He is able to heal each and every one of them, if it is His will to do so.  If it's not His will to heal them, then we know there is a reason we must go through the trials we are facing. We may need to gain knowledge & strength to help someone else facing a similar circumstance. We may never know WHY we are going through these circumstances, but I fully believe there is ALWAYS a reason.  I feel so we...
