Being Kind May Improve Your Day

Kindness. It can make a big difference in your experiences in life. If someone shows you kindness, it may make a bad situation better or a good situation even better. Besides, it is just a good thing - ALWAYS.

I told you a few posts back about the stranger that made our day better. Because he had a kind heart and was willing to help, we weren't stranded at the Home Depot for very long at all. It very easily could have been all day. That kindness made a bad situation better...definitely!

Kay, at the post office where I ship the packages for my Etsy store, goes out of her way to try to help me. I, therefore, go out of my way a lot of days to go to HER post office. I make sure I fill out the survey and give her an excellent rating (she says it helps her - I asked). I try to return her kindness in some way that will really help her.

Speaking of packages...I try to be extra kind to the delivery people that come to my work. They have a hard job. I strike up mini conversations with them (mini - because I know they are in a hurry) and try to make their stop with me as pleasant as possible.

One more thing, for heaven's sake people...please be kind to restaurant servers. Some of them are a waste of good air space, I know it (joke), but most of them are very hard working. They take a lot of garbage off people. They deserve a little more respect. I say this with zero bias. We have no restaurant servers in our family (that I'm aware of, anyway).

I could go on and on with big and little situations to demonstrate kindness. Sometimes, I am the recipient; other times I am the beneficiary. Either way, kindness is a good thing and you should pay it forward...so to speak.

So, whatever situation you are in or whomever you are dealing, show a little kindness. Who knows, it may even make YOUR day better in the process.

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
Ephesians 4:32
