Giving Thanks This Thanksgiving
With Thanksgiving fast approaching (only one week away!), I thought I would share some things that make me very thankful.
- My salvation - I'm thankful that, even though I am very undeserving, my Savior has covered my sins with His blood and I will live eternally in Heaven one day.
- My husband - He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. He loves me even though I'm sure I'm a handful sometimes. I love him with all of my heart and thank the Lord every single day for him.
- Family - Lord knows we are a strange bunch and obviously not perfect, but we love each other -- warts and all.
- Faithful friends - Even though you don't see each other as much as you would like or hang out as much as you used to, you know they are there.
- Feeling appreciated at work - Okay, no job is perfect, but there is not a week that goes by that I'm not told by at least one person (usually multiple people) how much they appreciate me. That is not to say I do my job perfectly (far from it) or that I'm patting myself on the back -- believe me. It does make a difference in MY attitude, though!
- My Etsy Store - I know this will just sound like a shameless plug, but my Etsy store has been a wonderful thing. I haven't made much money, but it gives me an excuse to use my creativity. I love making floral arrangements and now I have a REASON to make them. If you want to check out my store, there is a link on the left side of this page.
I will leave my list here for now. I could go on and on. I have so much to be thankful for and we have been so very blessed. I believe this is a good start, though.
Let me just add, there is so much anger and bitterness in this world right now. Try spreading a little love around instead of fueling the fire with more negativity. It will make you feel better and maybe it will spread to someone else!
