Giving Thanks This Thanksgiving

With Thanksgiving fast approaching (only one week away!), I thought I would share some things that make me very thankful.

  1. My salvation - I'm thankful that, even though I am very undeserving, my Savior has covered my sins with His blood and I will live eternally in Heaven one day.
  2. My husband - He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. He loves me even though I'm sure I'm a handful sometimes. I love him with all of my heart and thank the Lord every single day for him.
  3. Family - Lord knows we are a strange bunch and obviously not perfect, but we love each other -- warts and all.
  4. Faithful friends - Even though you don't see each other as much as you would like or hang out as much as you used to, you know they are there.
  5. Feeling appreciated at work - Okay, no job is perfect, but there is not a week that goes by that I'm not told by at least one person (usually multiple people) how much they appreciate me. That is not to say I do my job perfectly (far from it) or that I'm patting myself on the back -- believe me. It does make a difference in MY attitude, though!
  6. My Etsy Store - I know this will just sound like a shameless plug, but my Etsy store has been a wonderful thing. I haven't made much money, but it gives me an excuse to use my creativity. I love making floral arrangements and now I have a REASON to make them. If you want to check out my store, there is a link on the left side of this page.
I will leave my list here for now. I could go on and on. I have so much to be thankful for and we have been so very blessed. I believe this is a good start, though.

Let me just add, there is so much anger and bitterness in this world right now. Try spreading a little love around instead of fueling the fire with more negativity. It will make you feel better and maybe it will spread to someone else!
