The Reason to Celebrate!

Wow! It's hard to believe it's already December 7. Where have the last 3 months gone? I guess I don't have to tell you Christmas will be here before we know it!

 Just as a lot of people, this is my favorite time of year. I love to give gifts (to my hubby), though I struggle figuring out what to get. I love doing things to make him happy. I love how people tend to express their gratitude of other more freely this time of the year. I love, love, love to see all of the pretty decorations and Christmas lights. I love spending time with family and friends. I love cooking Christmas goodies and enjoy (too much) eating them. 

 Most of all, I love what the season represents. I love the story of Jesus' birth and the fact that He is THE greatest gift any of us can receive. I love that He offers this gift to anyone that is willing to accept it. 

 While this time of year can be pretty hectic and tiring. Take time to enjoy it. Try not to stress over it. When things start getting so busy and out of control...remember, WHY we are celebrating Christmas. That's what is really important. All of the other stuff is nothing compared to Him!

Being Kind May Improve Your Day

Kindness. It can make a big difference in your experiences in life. If someone shows you kindness, it may make a bad situation better or a good situation even better. Besides, it is just a good thing - ALWAYS. I told you a few posts back about the stranger that made our day better. Because he had a kind heart and was willing to help, we weren't stranded at the Home Depot for very long at all. It very easily could have been all day. That kindness made a bad situation better...definitely! Kay, at the post office where I ship the packages for my Etsy store, goes out of her way to try to help me. I, therefore, go out of my way a lot of days to go to HER post office. I make sure I fill out the survey and give her an excellent rating (she says it helps her - I asked). Answers to Prayers

You know, sometimes in life it is easy to get discouraged. It's easy to let burdens weigh you down. You feel like God is not listening when you pray. I'm here to tell you that our God is still on His throne and He is still answering prayers if you have a relationship with Him. I heard from someone this morning that testified to that fact. Prayer works!  This started me thinking about the different types of answers we get from God through prayer. There may be others or more ways to describe these, but here is a quick overview anyway.
