Come on, Tuesday!

To say I'm anxious about Tuesday's election is an understatement. I'm very nervous. I want it to be over and I want my person to win. I will try to refrain from getting too political, but I want to share a few things with you connected with the election. 

1. We should be praying for the candidates...even the candidate for whom you aren't voting! We won't know until (hopefully) Tuesday night who will win. That person needs every prayer possible before and after Tuesday. 

2. Our country is divided right now like I've never seen. We need to pray for healing in our land. We need to stop with all of the divisiveness and anger. Even if you don't agree with someone, there shouldn't be so much hate/hateful talk (especially on Facebook where it is rampant). 

3. Think past yourself and the next 4 years when you vote...this vote will have lasting ramifications for years to come because of the Supreme Court. Pray, pray, and pray some more...

When I think about the election, my mind goes to the words of Chris Tomlin's song "Our God" and I tell myself, "God's got this!"

Being Kind May Improve Your Day

Kindness. It can make a big difference in your experiences in life. If someone shows you kindness, it may make a bad situation better or a good situation even better. Besides, it is just a good thing - ALWAYS. I told you a few posts back about the stranger that made our day better. Because he had a kind heart and was willing to help, we weren't stranded at the Home Depot for very long at all. It very easily could have been all day. That kindness made a bad situation better...definitely! Kay, at the post office where I ship the packages for my Etsy store, goes out of her way to try to help me. I, therefore, go out of my way a lot of days to go to HER post office. I make sure I fill out the survey and give her an excellent rating (she says it helps her - I asked). Answers to Prayers

You know, sometimes in life it is easy to get discouraged. It's easy to let burdens weigh you down. You feel like God is not listening when you pray. I'm here to tell you that our God is still on His throne and He is still answering prayers if you have a relationship with Him. I heard from someone this morning that testified to that fact. Prayer works!  This started me thinking about the different types of answers we get from God through prayer. There may be others or more ways to describe these, but here is a quick overview anyway.
