Jesus, My Overcomer!

When you are going through trials, it is so easy to lose hope. It's easy to look at the bad that can happen and not look for the good. It's easy to get depressed, feel sorry for yourself, and say "Why me?" 

 Well, I'm going through one of those times right now. I received a scary call from the doctor's office today, my father-in-law is on his deathbed, and I was rear-ended last week. Good times...NOT IN THE LEAST!

 I'm clinging to John 16:33 (see below) right now! Jesus is my overcomer and I pray that he will help us through all of these difficult circumstances. I pray that we will come out on the other side victorious and giving HIM all of the glory!!!  There are many verses that apply, but right now I need Him to overcome all of this. My stress level it out the roof right now. 

 We aren't praying for healing for my father-in-law, but we hope that he won't suffer. That will be a victory. I do believe that my call today (health related) can be overcome and I'm believing that the Lord has this issue in His hand. He has taken the burden from me and I will come out on the other side praising Him for His glory revealed in me!

 All I can say now is "AMEN!!!! Thank you, Jesus!"

John 16:33

Being Kind May Improve Your Day

Kindness. It can make a big difference in your experiences in life. If someone shows you kindness, it may make a bad situation better or a good situation even better. Besides, it is just a good thing - ALWAYS. I told you a few posts back about the stranger that made our day better. Because he had a kind heart and was willing to help, we weren't stranded at the Home Depot for very long at all. It very easily could have been all day. That kindness made a bad situation better...definitely! Kay, at the post office where I ship the packages for my Etsy store, goes out of her way to try to help me. I, therefore, go out of my way a lot of days to go to HER post office. I make sure I fill out the survey and give her an excellent rating (she says it helps her - I asked). Answers to Prayers

You know, sometimes in life it is easy to get discouraged. It's easy to let burdens weigh you down. You feel like God is not listening when you pray. I'm here to tell you that our God is still on His throne and He is still answering prayers if you have a relationship with Him. I heard from someone this morning that testified to that fact. Prayer works!  This started me thinking about the different types of answers we get from God through prayer. There may be others or more ways to describe these, but here is a quick overview anyway.
