Kitchen Remodeling, Oh My...

Kitchen remodeling...hmm...what can I say about that? Well, I'm so thankful for what we are doing. We installed a new backsplash. By we, I mean, my hubby. It looks awesome! We went through the process of picking out new paint colors (and have purchased) for the walls, new paint for the molding (crown, chair, & floor), doors, and have painted the ceiling.

I can't wait for the other painting to be done, but we have to take baby steps. I'll be patient with just the ceiling being done right now. My hubby works so much, plus helping his mom care for his dad...there isn't a lot of extra time to work around there. We will get it finished eventually. I'm being very patient and just enjoying each step has it happens.

With my medical stuff that has popped up (see yesterday's post), I don't know if we will be tied up with that now. I'm hoping it will be a simple fix and not a long drawn out ordeal. The Lord is in control of the situation, so whatever happens...happens for a reason. I believe that. This has not taken Him by surprise, though it is throwing me off a little.

Through everything going on, it's easy to get overwhelmed. Overwhelmed by the mess all of this work is creating in the house. Overwhelmed by the pressure of picking the right colors of paint - yes, that is a pressure point for me! Overwhelmed by not knowing what will happen at the doctor's office in the coming days. Overwhelmed by not knowing when my father-in-law will pass and what new sets of pressures that will bring with his mom. Overwhelmed with just being overwhelmed.

In my post from yesterday, I told you I am clinging to John 16:33. Well, that is the case today as well. Lord Jesus, I need you now more than ever to be my overcomer! I know I posted this verse yesterday, but here is a different translation.
