Bible Verse Notebook

I wanted to share something with you that I have been doing for several years. It's my "Bible Verse Notebook." It is a small 2-ring notebook with 3"x5" index cards. I have a lot of my favorite verses written on the cards or when a verse speaks to my on a particular day, I will write it on a card and put it in the notebook. If I prayed a particular verse for a specific need, I will make a notation about the prayer and the answer on the card as well.

When reading, especially during church, I tend to highlight or underline verses that speak to me. So, occasionally, I will take time to make new cards for my notebook.

You may wonder why I do this. I know, I have have highlights and underlines throughout my Bible. Well, I can't tell you the number of times I've been asked to pray about a particular situation by family or friends. In that moment, I grabbed my little notebook and was able to pray a verse directly or share that verse as help to the one in need. It is a lot easier than trying to find a specific verse in a big Bible full of verses!

Being Kind May Improve Your Day

Kindness. It can make a big difference in your experiences in life. If someone shows you kindness, it may make a bad situation better or a good situation even better. Besides, it is just a good thing - ALWAYS. I told you a few posts back about the stranger that made our day better. Because he had a kind heart and was willing to help, we weren't stranded at the Home Depot for very long at all. It very easily could have been all day. That kindness made a bad situation better...definitely! Kay, at the post office where I ship the packages for my Etsy store, goes out of her way to try to help me. Answers to Prayers

You know, sometimes in life it is easy to get discouraged. It's easy to let burdens weigh you down. You feel like God is not listening when you pray. I'm here to tell you that our God is still on His throne and He is still answering prayers if you have a relationship with Him. I heard from someone this morning that testified to that fact.
